The Vixens is the girl’s youth section of Bury St Edmunds Rugby Club.
It is the fastest-growing section of our club.
In 2020, The Vixens had 5 registered players at training.
Last week, they had a record 39 players at training…
…and the journey is just beginning.
This #internationalwomensday, find out more about the growth and future of women’s rugby at Bury St Edmunds Rugby Club, as well as the challenges they face, from Vixens Coach, Harry Badman.
The Vixens are always looking for people to join their journey and there are multiple ways you can do so. Player recruitment is priority number one, as we aim to futureproof women’s rugby at Bury St Edmunds Rugby Club for many years to come. But there are also requirements for section volunteers, sponsors, partnerships and of course, supporters. You too can play a major role in the development of girls’ rugby in Bury St Edmunds and Suffolk.
Whilst the growth of this section has been astronomical… there is more to do. The Vixens are welcoming new players of all abilities between the ages of 11 and 18 to #jointhepack and to find out what the fuss is about. If you would like to learn more about getting involved in any capacity, please contact Harry Badman or Vixens Chairperson, Anna.
Today, we celebrate the achievements and contributions of those involved with The Vixens. The sky is the limit for this amazing section of our club. #oneclub
